Important Tips before Shopping…

Who hates shopping ???

I am yet to come across a person who really hates that.

We all love shopping. Therefore, I decided to pinpoint some points that we either forget to check or just ignore by considering they are negligible.

But not to worry…Here I am for your scurry… ;)

Over the years, while shopping these are the points I learned to not take for granted to shop smartly.

Number 1.

KEEP A JOURNAL OF EXPENSES

I recommend keeping a journal for your expenses for keeping track of how much you are spending.

Especially, when It comes to Payment by Cards. Wherein, we do not get an idea of how much we have spent as we spend virtually.

Record keeping is the best thing to do to keep some cap on expenses and to trace our unnecessary impulsive shopping habits.

Number 2.

DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH

Have you ever observed?

When you visit an outlet for shopping you often get confused with a variety of stuff that is lying in front of you & eventually buying those pieces that we feel not worth buying when we come home.

Before visiting a shop, do some research on the thing that you want to buy. Ask your friends, do some online surfing, read some blogs, watch some unboxing videos.

This will give some information about the product and a basis to decide whether to buy that product or not.

Number 3.

PAYING SAFELY ONLINE OR OTC

In our sheer excitement of shopping, we often do not pay attention to safety standards present around us.

Always check security symbols on E-Commerce websites or for that matter on any payment websites and payment gateway pages.

When It comes to OTC shopping, make sure the pin that you enter on the device is not seen by anyone else.

While transferring money through several inferences, make sure you know what information to give and what not.

If you think you have no knowledge about all these simple secure payment tricks, make sure you get educated about it through available resources by reading an article about it or by watching videos.

Number 4.

CHECKING IMPORTANT PAGES ON WEBSITE

We often ignore reading these pages. But trust me some way or the other at least once you have to go through them & most often after getting into trouble.

You buy a product but you don’t know which brand is that.

You buy a product and you don’t like it but you come to know there is no return available.

I hope these two examples are enough to predict a further mess. :)

Number 5.

CONCERN FOR ENVIRONMENT

This is my favorite section to write about.

If you prefer Certified, Organic, Cruelty-free, Vegan, Harsh chemicals free, Recyclable products.

At the same time, If you are aware and concerned about Badged, Approved, Tested, Charitable, Resource/Waste/Design innovation of products,

Make sure to check the ETHOS PAGE or ETHOS BROCHURE of the shop.

Number 6.

CHECKING DISCOUNTS

Check discounts given in the outlet and on the website. Most of the time, I have seen discounts given on the websites is higher than in the shop. As online you get to use your coupon codes and many more discounts.

Well, but you miss the joy of actual shopping, trials here.

Number 7.

RECOGNISING FAKE PRODUCTS

I personally feel you get authentic products in the respective brand’s outlets.

Otherwise, Replicas are there to empty your pockets. ;D

You do online or offline shopping, just check the genuineness of the products before buying.

Stitching, Design, Color, Texture, Brand’s logo are the common factors to check to recognize the authenticity.

Number 8.

BEWARE OF MISLEADING OFFERS

Buy above 2000 bucks and get 100 bucks product free,

Buy some items to get a free product,

Festive/ Season Sales,

70% OFF/Flat off 80%…

These offers are good to get you eye candy product for less price but are often tricky to let you spend extra bucks for unwanted stuff.

Always check their tricks pragmatically to shop smartly.

If you feel, you are getting the best deal, go for it but if get their tricks…It is not a bad idea to visit again after some time. :)
